Hi, I'm Elisabeth Carpenter. I'm a professional stuntwoman based out of Los Angeles, CA. I've had the opportunity to work in many shows for film, television and commercials, including Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Insurgent, Fear the Walking Dead, The Wrong Missy, Wonder Woman, The Polar Express, and many more. I specialize in wire work, high work, and I'm always expanding my skills to include anything I don't already do! I love learning, growing and creating.

Raised in Vermont as part of a large family, I spent my childhood as both a competitive gymnast and a musical performer. Outside of my intensive gymnastics schedule, I'd play any sport I could, dance, climb trees & barn rafters, swing and leap off anything I could find, and generally expend endless energy. At 13, I auditioned for and started performing with the acclaimed youth circus, Circus Smirkus, which opened my eyes to a unique blend of camaraderie through athleticism and artistry on stage! From age 10-18, I also toured North America,  the UK and Europe with a unique choral group called Village Harmony, as well as traveling and singing with my own family.  At 19 I moved to LA to pursue a career as a circus performer, establishing myself of one of the few aerialists, hand balancers, and acrobats at that time. Over my 15-year career I worked for Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Mechanics, LA Circus, and many local entertainment companies. That career helped lay a strong foundation for stunts, and my unique upbringing and world travels prepared me for the exciting but often rigorous lifestyle of a stunt performer.

When I'm not leaping off buildings or fighting villains in front of the screen, I can be found writing and playing music with my husband, Scotty, as part of our duo Cake Without Candles (more about that in "For Fun"). I still love to travel, take photos (I owned a film camera before smart phones existed), write, draw, cavort in the great outdoors, and meet new, interesting people from all walks of life.

Life is one big adventure if that's how you choose to see it. Every moment is a memory, a snapshot, a chance to create and leave your mark, an opportunity to bring joy to, and share passion with those you impact.” - Elisabeth Carpenter
